LOWELL CRYSTAL VIOLIN STUDIO

2017

Policies are based on National Standards for Professional Music Schools & Studios*

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY & METHOD

Lessons include a planned curriculum designed for each student’s age and goals. It includes the study and physical aspects of playing the violin, music scales, etudes (technique exercises), solo and orchestra repertoire, music theory, and the multiple systems that make the violin and music actually work. Students gain the benefit of learning the violin and music as a complete language; how to practice at home; recommended recordings to listen to and concerts to attend; a list of music web sites for resource and research, and; personal assistance in selecting a violin for any level student. I use the Suzuki Method for young beginner students.

BUSINESS POLICIES

Lessons are weekly at 30, 45 and 60 minutes. Corresponding fees are $45, $58, and $70. Students will receive an electronic monthly invoice statement. Lesson fees are bundled monthly and are due on or before the first week of the month.

30 minute lessons (4): $180
45 minute lessons (4): $232
60 minute lessons (4): $280

30 minute lessons (5): $225
45 minute lessons (5) : $290
60 minute lessons (5) : $350

New students may request a single 3/4 hour trial lesson at the $58.00 rate (fee due at the trial lesson). The new student may decide to continue on a regular monthly basis, in which case, the trial lesson fee will be applied towards the first month tuition. Continuing students are responsible for the complete month of either 4 or 5 lessons. This policy is in effect from September 01 to June 30. The summer months of July and August have flexibility for schedule adjustments that allows for vacations and holidays.

POLICY GUIDELINES

These Guidelines are designed to ensure the ongoing quality progress of the student on a month-to-month basis.

• Students may request a lesson re-schedule with a minimum of 24 hours notice.

• Missed or cancelled lessons may not be deducted from current monthly invoices.
